This is your opportunity to work at a New Wastewater Facility.
The Town of Ixonia is seeking a full-time Utility Plant Operator for Ixonia Utility District #1 and #2. --Ixonia Utility District #1 has a New Mechanical Wastewater Facility that became operational in 2024.
The ideal candidate will have experience in: wastewater system maintenance, general plant upkeep, sampling, cleaning, meter reading, reporting and monitoring of wastewater collection systems.
Knowledge of maintenance required for public works equipment, streets, public buildings and grounds.
Qualifications for this position include the ability to obtain a WI DNR Certification A1, SS, B, P, D, and C within 1 year of employment. Class B CDL is strongly preferred or must have the ability to obtain within 60 days of employment. Ability to respond to wastewater emergencies within the Town in 25 mins.
